  • Schizachyrium ‘The Blues’

    The Blues Little Bluestem is a native ornamental grass. The foliage grows upright in clumps of tinted-blue leaves. The foliage changes to burgundy-red in the fall. Purplish-bronze flowers appear on the branched stems the rise above the foliage in August.

  • Panicum ‘Shenandoah’

    Shenandoah Switch Grass is native ornamental grass. It grows in narrow, compact clumps. The foliage appears blue-green in the spring then changes to feature red tones in early summer and then turns shades of violet, purple, burgundy, and deep red by the early fall. In the summer, finely-textured pink flowers float above the foliage. The grass remains attractive though winter with beige tones.

  • Sporobolus heterolepis

    Prairie Dropseed is a native, clump-forming perennial grass. The foliage is blue-green and then turns golden with orange hues in the fall, then fading to light bronze in the winter. The flowers appear in the summer and rise above the foliage. The flowers are pink and has a unique scent that has hints of coriander.

    Standing Ovation Little Bluestem is a native grass that grows upright. The foliage emerges a blue color with hints of greens, purple, and pinks. The fall color appears shades of red and oranges. In the Late summer the tan seed heads appear.
